ANZAC SQUARE

Brisbane, Queensland.

The redevelopment of Anzac Square has helped restore one of Brisbane’s most significant heritage landmarks while enhancing its accessibility, landscaping and public amenity for future generations.

Delivered as Stage 4 of the broader redevelopment for Brisbane City Council, the project involved the careful restoration of memorials and heritage elements, upgraded pathways and gardens, new commemorative bronze screens, structural improvements and the installation of a striking glass lift connecting the square to surrounding streets and Post Office Square.

The revitalised space successfully balances historical preservation with modern urban design, reaffirming Anzac Square’s importance as Queensland’s premier place of remembrance and reflection in the heart of Brisbane’s CBD.
