The Brisbane International Cruise Terminal upgrade has transformed the city’s waterfront into a modern tourism gateway, with landscaping playing a key role in shaping the visitor experience from arrival to departure.

The project integrates expansive open spaces, waterfront promenades and carefully designed planting that soften the scale of the large infrastructure while embracing the coastal character of the Port of Brisbane.

Native and subtropical landscaping throughout the precinct helps create a welcoming arrival experience, complementing the terminal’s contemporary architecture and improving pedestrian movement across the site. The inclusion of shaded outdoor areas, landscaped circulation zones and riverfront public spaces enhances both functionality and visual appeal, reinforcing the terminal as not only major transport infrastructure, but also an important civic destination for Brisbane’s growing tourism industry.
